Stick vacuums that can be easily emptied are nothing new to me. Until now, however, I have only encountered a vacuum cleaner that can be emptied automatically with robot vacuum cleaners. My attention was immediately drawn when Samsung introduced the Bespoke Jet stick vacuum.
This stick vacuum comes with a charging station, in which you can empty the dust container at the touch of a button. To find out how well this works and how this stick vacuum performs, I decided to purchase the Samsung Bespoke Jet for a test. In this extensive Samsung Bespoke Jet review I share my findings.
The Samsung Bespoke Jet is particularly special because of the automatic emptying mechanism. This works very well: you put the vacuum cleaner in the charging station, after which you can empty it automatically. The vacuum cleaner comes with many extras, making this vacuum cleaner suitable for every floor type. This is also a good choice for pet hair: there are several motorized brushes. What is also striking is that this is one of the few stick vacuums that is adjustable in length.
- Automatic emptying mechanism
- Adjustable in length
- Lots of accessories
- Suitable for pet hair
- It's not a cheap choice
- Makes a lot of noise

Suction performance Samsung Bespoke Jet stick vacuum
As you could have seen during the unboxing, you get a lot of accessories with the Samsung Bespoke Jet. I discovered two different floor brushes for various floor types and various attachments for smaller surfaces and animal hairs.
I have therefore tested the Samsung Bespoke Jet on different floor types with the appropriate floor brushes. I also tested how easy it is to remove pet hair with this vacuum cleaner.
Suction performance: wooden floors, soft floors and pet hairs
The Samsung Bespoke Jet comes with a Slim Action Brush: this is a floor brush with a soft roller brush that is suitable for hard wooden floors. The soft brush protects delicate floors from scratches. Vacuuming both small and large dirt on hard floors is therefore no problem at all with the stick vacuum.
For the test on soft floors (high-pile carpet and low-pile carpet), I used the Jet Dual Brush. This multi-surface brush is suitable for soft floors and – just like the Slim Action Brush – is equipped with a motorized roller brush. Both small and large dirt are vacuumed up without any problems. I do notice that with larger dirt on long-pile carpet, this is pushed a bit more by the floor brush.
The vacuum cleaner also comes with a motorized mini brush (Pet Tool), which makes removing pet hair very easy. The roller brush is provided with hair and hard plastic, so that dog hair and cats are pulled along, as it were. The brush itself is easy to move up and down. In combination with the two motorized floor brushes, you can make the entire house pet hair-free: from the floor to the couch.
- Hardwood floors: 8/10
- Carpet: 7.5/10
- Pet Hair: 9/10
Samsung Bespoke Jet suction and airflow
In addition to the suction performance on various floor types, I always check the suction power and airflow of a vacuum cleaner. This makes it possible to compare vacuum cleaners in a valuable and reliable way. I measure the suction power in kilopascals (kPa) using my custom made vacuum tester. The Samsung Bespoke Jet has a suction power of 14 kPa in normal mode (medium). When I test the suction power in the highest mode with I even 24 kPa. This is very high compared to other stick vacuums.
The airflow of this Samsung stick vacuum is 19.2 m/s. This is average compared to other vacuum cleaners. The airflow at the highest setting is 34.3 m/s. That is very high if I compare this with other stick vacuums.
User-friendliness of the Samsung stick vacuum cleaner
If a vacuum cleaner has an enormous suction power, this does not necessarily mean that it vacuums fine. For example, it can be very heavy or make a loud noise. These are therefore two important factors to test the user-friendliness of a vacuum cleaner. For user-friendliness, I look at the vacuum cleaner’s versatility, noise level, weight and battery life.
Versatility: suitable for all floors and surfaces
Samsung has equipped the Bespoke Jet with all the brushes and accessories you need for vacuuming your entire home. From deep-pile carpets to fragile wooden furniture. You can easily store the many extras using the included accessory holder.
This stick vacuum is also a good choice for removing pet hair. I discover no less than three different motorized brushes in the package: two for different floor types and a mini brush for fabric furniture.
Weight and flexibility
The Samsung Bespoke Jet is a lightweight vacuum cleaner. The weight of 2.4 kilograms is reported at various points of sale. If I weigh the vacuum cleaner with vacuum cleaner rod and floor brush, I arrive at 2.51 kilograms. So this almost corresponds.
The vacuum cleaner itself feels very flexible. The different floor brushes can be completely flat on the floor, without rocking up. Even sharp turns or corners are no problem for the Bespoke Jet.
The vacuum cleaner is not called ‘Bespoke’ for nothing: the vacuum cleaner rod is telescopically adjustable. This is quite unique in the world of stick vacuums: a Dyson is not adjustable at all. This Samsung stick vacuum can be used by the whole family.

Battery life and charging time
We are dealing with a cordless vacuum cleaner, so it is very important to zoom in on the maximum battery life. The battery lasts for 60 minutes on the lowest operating mode without a motorized brush. If I use it in normal mode with a motorized brush, I can vacuum continuously for 42 minutes.
In the packaging I discover an extra battery, which can be very useful if you have not charged the vacuum cleaner. The battery is easy to change by clicking it in. The charging time of the battery is 210 minutes (+- 3 hours).
A cordless stick vacuum is often a lot noisier than a canister vacuum cleaner with a bag. This is mainly because a dust bag and the housing of such a canister vacuum cleaner considerably dampens the sound. I measured a noise level of 74.8 dB with the Samsung Bespoke Jet, which is a lot less than reported at various points of sale (85 dB). So a nice stroke of luck!
Maintenance: automatic emptying in charging station
In terms of maintenance, the Samsung Bespoke Jet is special. It is in fact the first stick vacuum with an automatic emptying mechanism that I have ever tested. The vacuum cleaner comes with a charging station, which also serves as an emptying station. You can easily place the vacuum cleaner in here, after which you can empty the vacuum cleaner with the push of a button.
You have to hang a dust bag in the charging station: you get two in the package. These dust bags are not washable: you will have to replace them eventually.
Dust capacity and filters
The Samsung Bespoke Jet has a dust capacity of 0.5 liters. Normally I would say that this is little, but since the vacuum cleaner can be emptied automatically, a smaller dust container is no problem at all. In fact, this keeps the vacuum cleaner compact, manoeuvrable and light.
Washable HEPA 13 filter (>99.999%)
Under the hood I discover a HEPA 13 filter with a multi-layer system which ensures a filtering of 99.999% of the exhaust air. The filter is washable, so you can use it several times.

Conclusion Samsung Jet Bespoke review
The Samsung Jet Bespoke is a super powerful stick vacuum that is versatile to use. This is mainly due to the many extra suction brushes supplied: you get three motorized brushes alone. The vacuum cleaner is therefore a very suitable choice for households with a pet: vacuuming dog hair or cat hair is no problem at all with this stick vacuum.
What makes this vacuum cleaner really unique is the emptying system: the Samsung Bespoke Jet comes with a charging and emptying station combination. The vacuum cleaner can be emptied automatically at the push of a button. This charging station is also very nicely designed: it has a natural look and will not look out of place in the interior.
What you should keep in mind is that the vacuum cleaner is not the cheapest choice. You do get value for money and you enjoy the many extras, including the automatic emptying system. In my view of great added value, especially for people who quickly suffer from an allergic reaction.
