One of the most important parts of a vacuum cleaner are the suction brushes. Almost every vacuum cleaner often comes with several brushes. In many cases also a parquet brush: a suction nozzle with soft bristles on the underside to protect vulnerable floors.
Recently I tested a new Miele vacuum cleaner. I discovered a special suction brush with this powerful vacuum cleaner: the Miele Parquet Twister. In this article I will tell you why I find this parquet brush so special and what makes it different from other parquet brushes.
Flexible parquet brush from Miele
During my Miele Boost CX1 Parquet review, I really noticed the included parquet brush. This brush – the Miele Parquet Twister – has a number of unique properties.
For example, there are large gaps between the bristles: this allows the brush to also suck up larger dirt. A standard parquet brush would push the dirt forward because of the bristles. In the video below I give a demo of the Miele Parquet Twister.
Advantages of this parquet brush
As you can see, the parquet brush has a number of unique advantages. Let's list them:
- It is equipped with super soft hairs, so that vulnerable floors are well protected
- Thanks to openings between the hairs, large dirt can also be vacuumed
- The suction brush is very flexible thanks to the turn-and-tilt mechanism
- There is a larger suction surface than other parquet brushes
- The parquet brush fits almost all Miele vacuum cleaners
Obviously, this brush cannot be used on soft floor types. This is not a suitable suction brush for, for example, a deep-pile carpet.
Where do I get the Miele Parquet Twister?
The Miele Parquet Twister is not standard with every new Miele vacuum cleaner. You often get it with parquet versions of vacuum cleaners. That's how I discovered it with this Miele CX1 Boost Parquet.
Are you curious whether a Miele vacuum cleaner also has this brush? Then always research the included extras! In all my vacuum cleaner reviews, this is one of the first factors that I investigate. Good to know: the Miele Parquet Twister is often also referred to by the product name ‘Miele SBB 300-3'.
Miele SBB 300-3 brush available separately
Have you bought a Miele vacuum cleaner and would you like to expand it with the Miele SBB 300-3 suction brush? Then I have good news for you: the parquet brush is also available separately.
The price of a separate Miele Parquet Twister suction brush is about 50 euros (60 dollars).
