Electrolux recalls AEG stick vacuum due to fire risk

Electrolux is recalling the AEG FX9 vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner may overheat and catch fire. Electrolux requests users to stop vacuuming with this vacuum cleaner and to unplug the appliance.

Overheating of the AEG FX9 vacuum cleaner

Electrolux reports that there is a problem with a part of the stick vacuum: when the vacuum cleaner is used, it can overheat.

The overheating of the part could only take place when the vacuum cleaner is used. So not when it is being charged or in standby mode.

Check product and serial number

The company urges users to stop using the AEG FX9 vacuum cleaner. Users can discover the affected serial and product numbers affected by this recall through a special list.

The product and serial number of the FX9 can be found behind the dust container of the vacuum cleaner.
