Hi Corine, the quietest vacuum cleaner I’ve tested is a broom.😂 Just kidding! the quietest vacuum cleaner I’ve tested is the AEG VX82-1-ÖKO. It has a noise level of only 57 decibels, which is super quiet. There’s a small chance your neighbors will still be bothered by it. You can check out my in-depth review here or watch my video on YouTube with the sound measurement. Don’t forget to subscribe while you’re there; it really helps me out! 🙂
Great to hear and happy vacuuming Editoire! 🙌
In the past, vacuum cleaners had a round, cylindrical-shaped container (canister vacuum cleaners are also often called cylinder vacuum cleaners). You still see this shape in wet-dry vacuums used, for example, in workshops. It’s highly likely that they got that name from this characteristic shape.
Hi Newduke,
That’s a great point. We’re working behind the scenes on an integration that might allow us to display current prices. Thanks for your feedback!
Of course, I’d be happy to provide you with some advice. With a budget of $350, I would consider the Ecovacs Deebot 950 (see it at Amazon here). It’s a good vacuum cleaner at an affordable price.
That’s a very thoughtful consideration, and it’s great that you’re checking with me. The Miele Boost CX1 is a relatively new model. Miele may make incremental improvements over time; for example, after 2 years, the Miele HX1 – a stick vacuum – became the HX2. These developments are usually minimal, so you don’t need to worry in the coming years. Plus, Miele is known for its excellent quality and long lifespan! 🙂
Thanks Maria! 🙌
Hey Karen,
Sorry to hear that. Could you let me know if you purchased the filters and batteries from Dyson or if they are third-party components? If not, have you checked the vacuum for any blockages? In this article, you can find a guide on what to check for possible obstructions in the air channels.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Robbert
Hi Steve,
You’re absolutely right; I overlooked that. I happen to be planning a thorough update of this article since several more models have been introduced in the meantime. I’ll give you a heads-up when it’s been supplemented.
Thanks for letting me know, Steve!
Good evening André,
Thank you so much for your keen eye and providing feedback on my article. You are absolutely right; that doesn’t negate the importance of replacing filters. I’ve updated my article immediately. Thanks again for letting me know!
Robbert
Hello Edward,
Thanks for your message. Stick vacuums with a bag are rare, but they do exist. In fact, I’ve tested one, the Henry Quick! A great choice if you sometimes struggle with dust allergies. Check out my review here!
Hi Ethan,
Thanks for your message. Good question!
I’ve spent some time delving into the structure of the serial numbers, but I don’t see any way to determine the year (although you can often find out where in the world the vacuum cleaner was produced and sold). Usually, you can get an idea of the approximate age of a vacuum cleaner from the model number. For example, the Dyson V12 comes in SV26 and SV20 versions.
Hi Aly,
For so far I know, the V15 Absolute Plus hasn’t an integrated built-in combi-crevice tool…
Hi Sara,
Thanks for your message. I’ve been in contact with Numatic (Henry’s parent company) several times, but they can’t tell me yet when the Henry Stick Vacuum will appear either. If this becomes known, I will write a message about it.
Greets,
Robbert
Hi Sarah,
In case you haven’t received it yet: the Henry Quick is now for sale at various retailers. View the Henry Quick here: https://www.vacuumtester.com/go/henry-quick-amazon.

ROBBERT TIGCHELAAR
Hi Carol,
More information is available! The Henry Quick is on sale now for about $439. Curious about the test results? I have extensively tested the Henry Quick: https://www.vacuumtester.com/henry-quick-review/.
Hi Sharon,
Thanks for your comment.
Ask your; Have you ever cleaned the vacuum cleaner parts? A complete manual can be found here: https://www.vacuumtester.com/how-to-clean-a-dyson-vacuum/
Good luck!
Hi Joyce,
Could you take a look at the word Dyson on the sticker at the top right? The model number can often be found there (often two letters and numbers) based on that I can help you further!
Good luck!
Great, let me know if it worked and if it smells better now!
And, and, and? Is you Bissell still alive?
Hi Megan, See my photo in the article. At the top right of the word Dyson you can discover the model number (in many cases).
Good to hear you solved the problem!
Hello there!
Nice of you to ask! A good question too.
In my opinion, the Henry Quick can’t really be compared to any other stick vacuum in terms of price, because it comes with a dust bag. This makes it unique and for people with a dust allergy this is worth a slightly higher price. In my review (read it here: https://www.vacuumtester.com/henry-quick-review/ )I have come to the conclusion that there is a very good price / quality ratio.
I hope I gave you more clarity about my opinion with this?
Hi Doris,
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Dyson V15. Strange that the battery is already worn out; with normal use it should last at least 2-3 years. Since it is already worn out after 8 months with you, you might want to take a look at your warranty conditions?
Hi Miroslav,
Thanks for your comment. I strongly recommend that you buy a battery from Dyson itself (and not aftermarket brands). These have a longer lifespan and are better for the vacuum cleaner.
Hi Nik,
It sounds like the motor blade blades are hitting something. Just to be sure: have you checked the entire vacuum cleaner for air blockages?
Hi Judy,
I’m sorry to hear that. The fans in the vacuum cleaner may have been broken by the shoelace (they may have jammed when the shoelace was vacuumed). I recommend that you first check the vacuum cleaner for any bits of lace (perhaps the ends?) to make sure it’s not causing the noise. If you’ve checked everything and the noise is still there, I recommend that you have it checked by a repair person.
Thanks for sharing your experience with other readers Kristin!
Hi Anne, Did you put the filter in the right way? When you put the filter upside down in the Dyson, it may not be closed properly, so the Dyson indicates that the filter needs to be replaced. The back of the vacuum cleaner must also be screwed on properly.
Great to hear Ann, thanks for your feedback!
Hi Giselle,
Thanks for your comment. It is exactly your question that prompted me to publish this article. To be short in my answer: the difference is in the included accessories. A Dyson V15 is a Dyson V15. The word Absolute or Absolute Plus only indicates which accessories you get.
I hope it’s a bit clearer now!
Great feedback Bruce.
I will check my article and update it where necessary!
Very good question Richard. I will definitely dive into this and provide an addition to my article.
🙁 Have you checked your warranty?
Hi Chris, that doesn’t sound very long indeed. I am sorry to read that you have had these experiences with Dyson. May I ask if you clean the vacuum cleaner regularly and if you often use the vacuum cleaner in turbo mode?
Thanks for your comment John!
Thank you for your valuable response. I will definitely include this in my (next) comparisons and reviews. I’ll keep you informed!
Thanks you so much for you reply Ann. I have reversed the weights in the table so that they are now correct. Thanks again!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. Very interesting to hear your reasons. I wish you a lot of fun with your Miele stick vacuum cleaner. Will you let us know how he likes it after a while? 🙂
I do see something going wrong. I will ask the developer if he has a replacement link and update my article!
Hi Clare,
From now on you can find it here at Etsy.com! I will update the article with a link.
You are absolutely right, George; hanging a Dyson is only possible on a wall where you have the space. On the other hand, an upright vacuum cleaner takes up more space. In my view, it would be very interesting for Dyson to have a parking function (where the stick vacuum can stand on its own without needing to lean it against something) could be very interesting.
Thanks Abdul. In the comparison above, I compared the suction power in normal mode!
Anker Innovations is the parent company of Eufy. In Japan, this Mach V1 Ultra was released under Anker. Perhaps it will be announced as Eufy Mach V1 Ultra in other parts of the world. 🤓
You are welcome Mary! Happy vacuuming with your new Tineco! 😎
Please consult my comprehensive Dyson Serial Number Lookup guide!
That does indeed sound as if the power is no longer properly passed on to the motorized floor brush(s). I recommend that you check the warranty with Dyson before starting any repairs yourself.
You are welcome Zidane!
That’s a strange issue. If I were you, I would refer to the warranty and see what you’re entitled to. Could you please tell me the exact model you have? That way, I might be able to help you search for an alternative battery.
Hey Gary,
Thank you for your response and for sharing your wish list. I’ve actually tested two of the three vacuum cleaners. You can check out my reviews for the Miele Boost CX1 and the Miele Complete C3. On my YouTube channel, you can also see the actual suction power measurements. Feel free to take a look at my videos, and don’t forget to subscribe if you’re there (that really helps me out!).
Hi Sergio, thanks for your response. I haven’t personally tested the Makita VC2521L, but based on customer online reviews, it’s likely a good vacuum cleaner (with a rating of 4.7/5.0 based on +1600 reviews on Amazon).
That’s a very interesting addition to my reviews Jason. Given your name, can I assume you’re a Pool expert? 😉
Hi Paul,
Thank you for your response. First of all, I do not only measure the suction power in Kilopascals with a vacuum tester, but I also measure the AirFlow (in meters per second). There is a big difference between suction power and airflow, so I am indeed testing both.
Apart from that, it’s good to realize that the number of watts (what you claim) says nothing about the actual suction power. There are many studies that show that the number of watts has no influence on the actual suction power. The number of watts has decreased in recent times (in the Netherlands there is even a maximum of 900 watts) while the suction power has improved considerably.
Hi Haroon,
Very sharp response! With a kPa of 14, the Samsung Besproke Jet cannot be missed in this list. I will update it shortly!
Hi Sean,
Thank you for your nice comment. I read it with great pleasure (and recognition). Nice that we both share the love for vacuum cleaners.
To answer your question: I come from the Netherlands myself, where a canister vacuum cleaner is the most popular type of vacuum cleaner (unlike America where you love Upright vacuum cleaners).
I myself am a fan of the Philips FC9745/09 PowerPro Expert, a bagless vacuum cleaner and all-rounder. It has a very good suction power and it is very pleasant to use.
However, it is poorly available in America, but every now and then it is on Amazon.
When it comes to brushes, in my opinion, there isn’t a significant difference between iRobot’s own parts and aftermarket options. However, for batteries, I would recommend going with iRobot’s products.
🇺🇸
Thanks for your positive comment Alex!!!
Two valid points. Although small vacuum cleaners do tend to have smaller dustbins…
I’m not entirely sure what you mean by the safety switch, but if you’re referring to the Trigger Button, I have a guide on how to replace the Dyson Trigger.
Sounds strange! The LCD screen should come on (and stay on) when you vacuum with a Dyson V15. It seems there is a defect. Is your DYson still within the Dyson warranty period?
Can I ask if you see a blue light when you put it on the charger?
Does a blue light flash when you charge the Dyson?
Hi Lisa, that’s very strange. The battery of a V15 should last for years. Can you check if the charging cable might be damaged? Does the Dyson indicate on the LCD when it is charging?
If there is nothing wrong with that, I advise you to check the warranty and contact Dyson.
Hi Gary, see my previous response!
Regular maintenance will most likely prevent the problem. Think beyond just emptying the dustbin, and also consider cleaning the brushes and other components, such as sensors!
I would like to help you, but can you tell me which model your question is about?
Hi Gary, are you sure you’ve properly assembled the roller bar (that it’s securely clicked into both sides)?
Hi Lily, that’s a logical thought. However, not all filters are made of materials that can be wet. Washing a non-washable filter can result in a non-functional filter, odors, and in the worst case, a malfunctioning robot vacuum. So, be cautious.
That’s strange, Shanda! Could you try pressing the large CLEAN button? Your Roomba should display an error code if there’s an issue. I’ve compiled a complete list of all Roomba error codes, so you can check there to see what’s going on.
Hi David, sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with your Dyson. I can imagine how frustrating that must be. May I ask if you clean your Dyson regularly? This can help prevent many problems in the future.
Thank you, Matt. I was going to respond the same way! A stuttering Dyson can indeed indicate there is a blockage in the vacuum. Connie, you may want to consult my guide on resolving a blocked Dyson airway if needed.
Can you try to say “Vacuum only”?
Hi Vifo, thanks for your reply. Could you please double-check the exact model number of your Philips vacuum cleaner? It usually looks like FCXXXX/09. It seems that two numbers are missing in the message above. If you provide those, I can assist you in finding information.🕵️
That’s great to hear, Sheryl Lee! If the unpleasant smell returns, you can also refer to my guide on how to fix a Dyson that smells like a dog!
Hi Ashleigh, thanks for your message. May I ask for how long you are using the battery?
Hi Andrei, that’s unfortunate to hear. Did you purchase a battery from Dyson itself or from another brand? It might be that you have the wrong battery in the wrong Dyson. Read here to find out which Dyson you have.
Also look at other things: the charging cable / the power outlet, etc.
Hi Mike, sorry to hear that. May I ask if you purchased a Dyson battery or an aftermarket battery? It might be that you have the wrong battery in the wrong Dyson. Read here to find out which Dyson you have.
Hi Grace, my I ask how long you’ve been using the battery?
I’m quite sure your battery is failing here and you might need to buy a new one. The v8 batteries are cheap though. May I ask if you also clean the filter regularly? Blocked filters and dirty parts (accessories) can also result in a significant reduction in suction power.
Something you must know:
Don’t use the max/turbo buttons on your Dyson. This greatly reduces the battery life.
Kyle, I did some research and I’m 100% convinced this is your problem:
A fast flashing blue light indicates no power or a temporary fault (e.g. check filter or for blockages). You need to either clean or replace your filter.
Hi Rufus,
Thank you for your message. It unfortunately sounds like your battery needs to be replaced. As you mention a V10 here, be sure to avoid ‘max battery usage’ on this particular Dyson. Over-usage (and even normal usage..) of this feature is the main cause for low battery life for the V10. Replacement batteries can be found here.
Hi Ned,
This is either one of the four things that can be the case which I mention in the article. (Which is completely re-written!) Your research and thoughts however do sound like the battery has lost its power. Avoid Turbo mode on the Dyson is something I have to keep on saying here. The v11 batteries are quite expensive to replace as well, unfortunately, you can see them here. (not in stock on Amazon)
Hi Barry, in some cases, there could also be a blockage in the vacuum wand or at the motor’s air inlet. I recommend reading this article on a Dyson air way blockage and following all the steps!
It’s quite possible that it’s broken. This often happens with trigger buttons. I’ve written an article on how you can replace this Dyson trigger yourself.
Have you checked the cable yet Paul?
Can you please check which model you have? The Dyson V13 is not an existing model (it could be the Dyson V12 Slim or the Dyson V15 Detect).
Hi Courtney,
That’s not entirely accurate: the Dyson V15 comes standard with a HEPA filter.
What beautiful words! Thank you; this makes me even more determined to continue with what I’m doing! 🙌
Hi Nancy, thank you for your message. It is most likely a Dyson DC28C MultiFloor, a canister vacuum cleaner. It’s the only model that ends in ’28C’ as far as I know!
Hi Vlad, do you see an model number above the word Dyson?
Hi Allison,
I’d be happy to help you. Or you can publish the exact codes below or you can email me at info (@) vacuumtester.com.
Hi Patrick and Karen, thank you for your nice words and nice to hear that my article helped you further!
Hi Jaqcueline,
wow! You must have maintained your Dyson well if it has lasted 10 years. Doing well!
Can you take a look for me at the top right of the word Dyson on the sticker? There you will find (if all is well) the exact model number.
Hi Brian,
Thanks for your comment. The Dyson DC59 is the model! There is no reference to another name (as it can be with the V15, for example). You can double check by checking the word Dyson at the top right to see if DC59 is also there.
Hi Rick,
Many thanks for your comment and feedback. I am sorry to read that you talk about wasted time. In response to your message, I have updated my article and clarified it with a new photo. In this I explain the difference between the model number and serial number. So thank you for your response.
About my English: It’s true that English is not my native language, but I’m doing everything I can to improve it.
Hi Caroline, see my previous comment!
Hi Patrick, the word “Animal” in Dyson vacuum cleaners refers to the type of accessories that come with it. It has nothing to do with the model or type!
If you know it’s a V8, it’s enough for buying new accessory! Just look if the parts are compatibel for the Dyson V8 or Dyson SV10.
Hi Pamela, the Dyson DC25 is the model (an upright vacuum cleaner). I don’t really understand what you want to know exactly.
Hi Joey,
I understand that there is a lot of confusion about model numbers vs serial numbers. To find out which Dyson you have, it is best to look at the model number. This is the word Dyson at the top right. See the photo in my article!
Hi John, see the new photo in my article to see where the model number is (instead of the serial number).
Hi Petra,
I dare not say with certainty (to my knowledge that is also irrelevant for a new V10 battery). You could send me a picture of the entire sticker of the battery, then I can search with you.
Greetings,
Robbert
Hi Karen,
Thank you for your message! Could you take a look at the battery? Above the word Dyson is probably the model number? If not, could you email a photo of the battery sticker, so I can take a look with you
Thanks for your comment! Could you take another look at the sticker and check which code is above the word DYson? Often two numbers followed by letters. This is the model number!
You can find the sticker behind the dust container or on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner at Dyson cylinder vacuums.
Hi Chris,
It seems to be a Dyson V8. At Dyson’s website at the ‘V8 Battery Type E’ product page the serial number is mentioned in the example. See the heading ‘Compatible Machines’ on this page; https://www.dyson.co.uk/support/journey/tools/969106-01
Hi Deepak,
Thanks for your reply. Can you specify which model you have? The Dyson GenV15 doesn’t exist.
May I ask how long you’ve been using this battery?
Hey Richard,
That sounds strange. Do you see a blue light (flashing) when you put the battery on the charger?
Hi Gabriele, I don’t know exactly what you mean. A blue light is often an indication that your battery needs to be charged or that there is a blockage in the air ducts somewhere in the vacuum cleaner. The Dyson will also stutter.
Hi Rosemary,
There are several retailers that offer Dyson batteries. Think Amazon and Walmart. However, you can also buy batteries from Dyson itself. I strongly recommend that you buy a battery from the Dyson brand: they last longer and it is better for the life of your vacuum cleaner. Here you can view them.
Hi Denise, what exactly do you mean? Is the LCD screen not lit?
Hi Susie,
Sometimes it could also be due to parts not being properly connected. Many parts should audibly click into place when they are properly secured. Could you please check this?
Hey Simon, have you also checked the air inlet on the main body (the elongated opening)?
Hey Tom, here you can check the reviews out: https://www.youtube.com/@Vacuumtester/videos
The problem is probably with the battery not being a Dyson original battery. In your case I would try contacting the Dyson helpdesk!
Hello, thanks for your message. A Dyson that isn’t suctioning can have many different causes. I have a comprehensive guide ready with all the options and simple solutions!
Sad to hear Denise. Hopefully replacing the filter helped!
I’m sorry to hear that! Can I ask if the new brush is from Dyson itself or a third party accessory?
In addition to checking for blockages in the air ducts, you could also check the connection of the various parts.
Annoying to hear Win. Does the blockage also keep coming back after you remove the suction nozzle from the vacuum cleaner?
Hi Amanda,
It’s annoying that the blockage keeps coming back. Did you also see my video where I check all the air ducts? You could also check if all the parts fit together properly.
Wow, that’s quite a nice job =)
I can’t say for sure if it’s Hot Glue from a glue gun. I will investigate this further. However, this does not alter the fact that Dyson emphasizes that this is to discourage replacing parts yourself. In addition, not everyone is waiting for the Hot Glue to melt or to cut away glue to replace a button. For now: very good question, I will investigate this!
Hey Christopher,
Great questions!
First of all, the Dyson V15s Detect also comes with a laser brush. You can tell this because the product name includes the word ‘Detect,’ which refers to the laser detect accessory. The Submarine attachment is included as standard with the V15s (the ‘S’ refers to Submarine). Whether you get the tangle-free carpet cleaner with it depends on the package you purchase. You can check the product description (for example, here) to see which accessories are included. Finally, the main body of the vacuums is the same. That also means there’s a trigger button. However, I’ve described a solution for locking the Dyson Trigger Button.
Hmm, that sounds strange. May I ask if you often vacuum in turbo mode? This can have a negative effect on the battery’s lifespan.
It’s good to hear that you read my article on time! 🤓
Hi Helen, thanks for your response. I’m sorry to hear that your Dyson has started to smell like a dog. What I’ve heard from many people is that they still use their old vacuum for places with a lot of dog hair to prevent odors in the future! I hope you haven’t gotten rid of your old Hoover yet! 🙂
Hey Philip
I would either buy a new filter (those are quite cheap) or I would make sure that the filter is ‘very dry’ after you put it back in after cleaning. Also make sure your Vacuum warms up a little by putting him in the sun for a while!
In that case, it sounds like a motor issue. Most likely, replacing the main body is the only solution. I assume you’ve thoroughly cleaned the filter and checked the accessories for any dirt as well.
Have you tried cleaning the entire filter thoroughly? Cleaning the filter completely often helps with a blockage.
Hi Kathy! Have you also checked if there is any dirt in the accessories (for example, in the brush roll)?
The V15 starts at ~$ 650
The claimed system suction is up from (Gen5) 262 “Airwatts” vs (V15) 230 “Airwatts”. 13.9% More suction power. We’ve also tested this, will look up the results in the near future.
Hi Mark, it’s the same battery. If you look at Dyson’s replacement battery here, you can see that it’s compatible with both the V15 and V15s! Good luck with the replacement, and if you run into any issues, I have a guide ready for replacing a Dyson battery. Greets!
Hey Anthony, sorry to hear that. It does sound like there’s a motor issue. I’m really curious if replacing the main body will solve the problem. By the way, you can find a guide here on how to replace a Dyson Main Body.
Hey! Thanks for your response, and it’s great to hear that the soft roller brush was the issue. It’s essential to check it regularly for dirt (as this can also cause scratches on your floor). You can check my guide about how to clean a Dyson brush if needed! Good luck, and happy vacuuming!
Hi Ron, thanks for your response. Ask your; does the Dyson also stutter when you take the suction nozzle off?
Hey Tom!
Thanks for your response. I think the filter might be the possible issue. Vacuuming with the same filter for two years can cause problems. I’m really curious if your family member’s filter might solve the problem. If the filter is the cause, here’s a guide on how to easily, quickly, and inexpensively fix and replace new filters!
Greetings,
Robbert
Hey Mieke, a product like this (Dutch link as you seek a Dutch solution) can offer a solution?
Hi Reynold,
Thanks for your comment.
It’s a smart choice to go for a separate parquet brush! I have good news for you: Miele has actually released a special parquet brush for their canister vacuum cleaners called the Miele Parquet Twister. I have even written a complete guide about this Miele parquet brush.
Best of luck,
Rob
Thank you for your response. Using a handheld vacuum cleaner makes vacuuming stairs much easier. No cord, lightweight, and compact. However, if you also want a vacuum cleaner that you can use for other activities, I recommend a stick vacuum cleaner. These can often transform into a compact handheld vacuum cleaner. You can check out the best lightweight vacuum cleaners here if you’d like!
Good luck,
Rob
Hi Peter,
Thank you for your response! In my graph, I mainly focused on vacuum cleaners that you have to operate manually. The weight of a robot vacuum cleaner, for example, is less important in that case.
Apart from the graph, I can tell you that there are indeed “quiet” robot vacuum cleaners available. In fact, a robot vacuum cleaner is often much quieter in terms of noise level compared to other models. Interested in the best options? Take a look at the guide on the quietest robot vacuum cleaner!
Greets,
Rob
Hi Claudia, thanks for your message.
Yes, it is possible that lightweight vacuum cleaners are more vulnerable to housing damage compared to heavier vacuum cleaners. This is because lightweight vacuum cleaners are typically made of lighter materials such as plastic, which may be less sturdy than the materials used in heavier vacuum cleaners.
However, it is important to note that not all lightweight vacuum cleaners necessarily break easily. The durability and quality of a vacuum cleaner depend on various factors, including the brand, the specific model, and the overall construction. Some lightweight vacuum cleaners can be sturdy and well-built, while others may be more fragile.
If you are looking for a lightweight vacuum cleaner, it is advisable to research different brands and models, and consult customer reviews and ratings. This can help you find a lightweight vacuum cleaner that is durable and meets your needs. Additionally, it is important to use the vacuum cleaner according to the instructions and maintain it properly to extend its lifespan and minimize any damage.
Greets,
Rob
Very sorry to hear Andrea. May I ask if you have already checked the vacuum cleaner for blockages in the air duct (including the air duct near the motor)?
Hi Howard, I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. I certainly get your point about a smelly vacuum cleaner. However, I do explain that in my manual for cleaning a Dyson filter. I will reread my article and consider expanding it to avoid bad smell. Thanks again for your feedback!
Hi Jenny, thanks for your question. Recently, I have done some thorough research on lightweight vacuum cleaners for the elderly. View my extensive research here: https://www.vacuumtester.com/best-lightweight-vacuum/
Hi C.R.,
See an example here: https://www.vacuumtester.com/go/european-plug-amazoncom
Hi Savanna,
That doesn’t sound nice! Have you ever checked the vacuum cleaner for blockages? There may be something stuck somewhere and that could be causing the stinky smell. Check out how to detect an air blockage here: https://www.vacuumtester.com/dyson-airway-blocked/
Hi Adya,
Oops!
It is best to let the Dyson dry for a very long time and well in these cases. Do not accelerate the drying process (for example, do not place it on the heating). Do not turn the Dyson back on until you are sure it is completely dry.
If it still smells bad you could buy a new filter.
In the future it is smart to keep the Dyson itself well away from water. This can also result in a defective Dyson and of course we don’t want that :).
